Are some of these courses mandatory in British Columbia?

It all depends on the field you’re looking to enter. Some courses are not required while others are mandatory.
When it comes to the security fields, in Canada, individuals who work in public and private safety must have a security guard or security services license in their province or territory. To get licensed, a basic 40-hour training course is required in which an exam is written before you can apply for a license. TFG’s Basic Security Training course meets the requirements in British Columbia.

Are your courses offered in English only? Do you offer courses in other languages? Are my certifications/licenses transferable?

Unfortunately, some of the certifications and licensure you get at TFG are only valid in the province of British Columbia.

Is there guaranteed job placement?

Although we don’t offer or guarantee job placement, we do network with a number of companies that are hiring at the time of your graduation. We give students a list of trusted companies as well as send out emails should any of them contact us when they are hiring or in need of extra security.

I lost my certificates. Is it possible to get copies?

Yes. You can get copies from us, however, please give us a day’s notice before coming to pick them up.
